I was at work last night and so I wasn’t aware that there was a riot taking place in Little India last night. And apparently a handful of the rioters decided to attack not only the police but also the paramedics and firefighters who were rescuing the casualty as well. Bloody hell. Since when is it alright to attack paramedics? Argh.
And I only got to know about the riot when my boyfriend called me and I came down and saw a couple of the red SOC vans in the vicinity of my workplace (I work for border security).
And now some idiot is blabbering on Twitter about how the SAF (the Army) can do a better job than the SPF and SCDF (the police & firefighters/paramedics) in handling yesterday’s riots, how their SAR 21 can be used to shoot the rioters, how the army are competent compared to the police blablablah.. Ugh, so much bullshit.
But at the end of the day I’m really glad that none of my police/paramedic/firefighter friends were injured during their course of duty.
Called in sick for work today due to a really bad stomach ache. I lost track of how many trips I made to the bathroom already argh
